Maintenance and Repair

  STEP1:
Clean the ground and flooring and lay the padding. Check that every piece of flooring is intact and in good condition. The groove of the first row of flooring should be against the wall. Fix the wood wedges between the wall and the flooring to create a space of 8-10 mm. This space allows for swelling and shrinking of the flooring (refer to Diagram 1). Ensure the first row of flooring is properly centered before it is fixed with glue.
  STEP2:
Draw a line on the last piece of flooring and cut off the unwanted part (refer to Diagram 2). Place the newly cut piece against the wall.
  STEP3:
The unwanted part of the first row can be used in the second row (see Diagram 3). This wasted flooring can serve as a cushion-board. Use a mallet or hammer to knock in the cushion-board to achieve seamless assembly.
  STEP4:
Attention : The cushion-board should be place upside down to avoid damaging the grooves and the tongues (please see Diagram 4). Install the other rows of flooring in the same way as the second row.
  STEP5:
The last row : If there is not enough space for a whole piece of flooring, put Flooring (a) on the last two rows of the flooring. The groove of Flooring (a) should face the wall. Place Flooring (b) on top of Flooring (a) and draw a line (refer to Diagram 5).
  STEP6:
Cut off the unwanted portion along the line. Use the hook to fasten the flooring and put in the wedge (refer to Diagram 6). After 24 hours, take out the wedge and install the skirting. (It is strongly recommended that the newly installed flooring not be stepped on for 7 days. This allows the glue to properly and fully dry. The remnants of the solidified glue from the flooring can be removed using normal stationery blades.)
